THEATER: Walt Willey bringing ‘Wild Bill’ to Pontiac

PONTIAC — Ottawa actor Walt Willey will present his one-man stage show "Wild Bill: An Evening with James Butler Hickok" live in mid-March at the Eagle performing Arts and Conference Center, 319 Plum St.

Performances at the former downtown Pontiac movie house will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20. Tickets are on sale at $40 for priority seating and a private reception, or $25 for the performance only. Additional information is available at 815-844-1187.

"Wild Bill" is Willey's one-man show on the life of Wild Bill Hickok, the American Old West legend who was born and raised in Troy Grove. Willey wrote the play with assistance from longtime friend and Ottawa native Kim "Howard" Johnson.

Willey, a former "All My Children" cast member, has presented the show in different venues across the country.
