WilleyWorld Community Productions announces
it’s First Scholarship Award to
Outstanding Ottawa High School Drama Student

WilleyWorld Community Productions is pleased to announce it’s first scholarship award to an OTHS drama student. The recipient of the $500 scholarship,Christian Boswell, was nominated by Sue Williamson, OTHS Drama Director.
“It is our pleasure to award student excellence in the dramatic arts with this scholarship,” said Walt Willey, artistic director of WilleyWorld Community Productions. “Helping the youth of Starved Rock Country further their studies in the Arts is an honor for us.”
“The fundraiser we held as part of our Auntie Mame cast party last summer helped us build this fund,” added Mary Morgan, WWCP’s community and educational advisor. “We plan to do everything possible to make these scholarships a tradition.”
“Christian Boswell is just a great kid. For four years he has been the first to a rehearsal or set construction day and the last to leave,” said Sue Williamson. “He will do anything for the theatre department. In addition, he is an Honors student and is going on in theatre at SIU. He has a lot of character and we think the world of him. This is his passion.”
The scholarship will be presented Friday, May 22 at 3:00PM in Ms. Williamson’s classroom during an end of the year party for the school’s drama students.
